CEWC was founded in 1939 and has been influential for many years. Our vision is "A world of active, ethical and responsible citizenship". Our mission is: "To encourage and enable people to be active citizens through increased understanding of and involvement in World Citizenship, and to promote greater international understanding and harmony.” Our approach is to encourage an holistic approach to citizenship education which:
  • Develops critical thinking skill
  • Helps people make better sense of the world
  • Enables them to participate in making informed and responsible decisions
  • Gives people the opportunity to engage in dialogues which help to break down barriers.
